Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Remotie, which places verified candidates in remote AI training roles. Please read them before verifying your identity or accepting a placement.
Acceptance of Terms
By creating a Remotie account, completing identity verification, or otherwise using our platform, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Remotie.
Description of Service
Remotie places verified candidates in remote AI training roles — data labeling, model evaluation, RLHF, and safety/red-teaming roles. We are not a self-serve job board: candidate accounts, job postings, and application pipelines are created and managed by our recruiting and admin staff on your behalf. You don't post your own listings or apply directly to postings on the platform; your assigned recruiter manages matching, submission, and follow-up.
Eligibility
You must be of legal working age in your place of residence, able to complete identity verification, and legally permitted to perform remote contract or freelance work in your jurisdiction to use Remotie as a candidate. Recruiter and admin accounts are created directly by Remotie and are not available through self-service sign-up.
Candidate Responsibilities
As a candidate, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current information in your profile, resume, and any pipeline communications.
- Complete identity verification honestly, including any per-application re-verification your recruiter requests, using genuine documents that are actually yours.
- Complete skills submissions honestly and in good faith. Submissions are not scored, but they're still part of your record and are expected to reflect your own work.
- Respond to your recruiter and to hiring partners in a professional and timely manner throughout the placement process.
- Keep your account credentials and any connected Telegram account secure, and not share access with anyone else.
No Fees to Candidates
Remotie does not charge candidates any upfront fee to create an account, verify identity, be matched with roles, or be placed with a hiring partner. You should never be asked to pay Remotie, or anyone claiming to represent Remotie, to access or advance in the placement process.
Payments & Wallet
Your Remotie wallet is a manual ledger maintained by our staff — it is not connected to an automated third-party payment processor that moves funds on its own. The wallet tracks an available balance and a pending withdrawal balance. When you submit a withdrawal request, the requested amount is moved from your available balance into pending withdrawal immediately, and the request is then reviewed by authorized staff before funds are released. You're responsible for keeping the payout details on your account accurate; Remotie is not responsible for delays or losses caused by inaccurate information you provided. We reserve the right to review and verify transaction history for accuracy before processing a withdrawal.
Hiring Partner Relationships
When you're placed with a hiring partner organization, Remotie facilitates the introduction, application, and onboarding process, but the underlying work relationship — including the specific contract, scope of work, schedule, and compensation terms for the engagement itself — is between you and that partner. Remotie is not a party to that work agreement and is not responsible for a partner's conduct, decisions, or the terms they set once you're engaged with them. Review any agreement a partner asks you to sign directly with them before accepting it.
Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: provide false or misleading identity, profile, or skills information; attempt to circumvent identity verification; misrepresent your relationship with Remotie to a hiring partner or vice versa; use the platform to solicit candidates or recruiters outside of Remotie's process; attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you're not authorized to access; or otherwise use Remotie in a way that could harm candidates, partners, staff, or the platform itself.
Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, fail identity verification, or engage in conduct that we reasonably believe puts candidates, partners, or the platform at risk. You may request closure of your account at any time by contacting us; any available wallet balance will be handled according to our standard withdrawal process before closure is completed.
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Remotie is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that any candidate will be placed, that a placement will lead to ongoing work, or that hiring partners will behave in any particular way. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Remotie and its staff are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or your engagement with a hiring partner. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service as our platform evolves. When we make material changes, we'll take reasonable steps to let you know, such as an in-dashboard notice or an email. Continuing to use Remotie after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
